Hello friend,
It was 2014, a colleague of mine came to meet me and he had a friend with him,
both of them advised me to buy Bitcoin, then its price was only $500. But I refused.
At that time, I did not see any special value in it and considered Bitcoin to be an
international fraud, which was being run by some powerful tech lobby. My doubt was
further increased by the negative news spreading in the market. Due to these
negative perceptions, I rejected it in the early days, thinking it was very risky,
and I doubted its future. I asked that colleague what is Bitcoin and how it works
but he could not explain its technical explanation to me. I thought it was just a
fraud, and I flatly refused to invest.
Time passed and four years later in 2017 I got a call from an acquaintance and
he told me that the price of Bitcoin has reached $15,000 and advised me to buy
Bitcoin. I was shocked. The rapid price increase left me stunned and curious as to
how something I had rejected a few years ago could grow so fast. I asked my old
question to that acquaintance as well, what is Bitcoin and how does it work, but he
too could not answer me, his entire focus was on investing money. This sudden surge
further piqued my interest, and I finally decided to understand Bitcoin in depth.
This was the moment when I entered the world of blockchain and cryptocurrency. Today
when I look back, I realize how much I had underestimated the potential of Bitcoin.
When I delved deeper into this technology and understood the basic principles of
blockchain, I realized how wrong my thoughts were. Now, I understand the amazing
potential of cryptocurrency, and I regret that misconceptions in the early days
influenced my decision. This missed opportunity taught me how much it is necessary
to learn and research about new technologies, rather than making preconceived
notions about them.
As an investor, I ignored Bitcoin when it was worth only $500, which is a hard
lesson I will never forget. Back then, I dismissed it because I was not aware of
blockchain technology. I did not fully understand its potential, and it cost me
dearly. If only I had learned more about that emerging product, I would have had
bigger advantages today. Now, I make it a priority to stay informed about new
technologies, because I know how important it is to spot opportunities.
After not being able to buy Bitcoin in the early days, I decided to understand
blockchain and cryptocurrencies in depth through my own efforts. The more I learned,
the more I was convinced that this technology is the future. Now, I want no one else
to miss opportunities due to such misunderstandings.
That is why we have started the EduCrypt online tutorial series, dedicated to
spreading knowledge about blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Through this platform, we
want to provide people with the necessary understanding about this changing digital
world and we have tried to make those who are not technically proficient also get
the basic knowledge about this future-changing technology in simple words, then we
will consider our efforts successful.

Gautam
